Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
1. Introduction
This privacy policy explains what information Digitsu LLC ("us", "we", "Company") collects when you use our website, apps, and services (the "Services"), how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. We do not sell your personal information for money, and we share it only as described in this policy. We may update this policy from time to time; if you are a registered user, we will make reasonable efforts to inform you of material changes by email, and we will always post the current version on this page with an updated date. This policy also describes how we handle information about athletes and other individuals who appear in our public BJJ database, whether or not they are users of the Services (see Section 6).
2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you register, we collect the information you provide, such as your email address and, optionally, your name and profile details. You may choose not to provide certain information, but you may then be unable to use some features of the Services.
Payment information. Purchases are processed by third-party payment processors (such as Stripe on the web, or Apple and Google when you purchase through their app stores). We receive limited billing details such as your name, country, transaction history, and card type or last digits — we do not store your full card number. If you purchase through an app store, that platform handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.
Usage and device information. We collect certain information about your interaction with the Services, including cookies, IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location, operating system, time/date stamps, pages viewed, search queries within the Services, and video playback activity (such as which videos you watch and playback quality metrics). If you decline cookies in your browser, some features of the Services may not work.
Content you submit. This includes reviews, messages to our AI assistant (see Section 7), and anything you send us through support or contact forms.
Your information is stored and processed primarily in the United States, and may be processed in other countries where our service providers operate. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to provide and operate the Services; process transactions and send receipts; provide customer support; maintain and improve the quality of our services and products; personalize your experience (such as recommendations and continuing where you left off); send the communications described in Section 5; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and comply with legal obligations.
4. Advertising and Remarketing
We may use the information you provide (such as your email address) to create hashed customer lists that we share with advertising partners like Google and Meta. This allows us to show relevant ads to our existing users and customers across their platforms. When we share hashed lists this way, those partners are contractually restricted from using the data for their own independent purposes. Our website may also use advertising cookies, pixels, or similar tools from these partners to measure ad performance and reach people who have visited our site; these partners collect information through those tools under their own privacy policies. Depending on your state's law, this kind of advertising may be described as "targeted advertising" or "sharing" of personal information; we do not sell your personal information for money.
We have also enabled Google Analytics Advertising Features, including Google Signals, which associates the site activity described above with Google account information from users who are signed in to Google and have consented to ads personalization. Google uses this to support cross-device audiences and to provide aggregated demographics and interests reporting; we do not receive personally identifiable information from it.
You may opt out of this type of personalized advertising at any time by contacting us (see Section 12), by adjusting your ad settings directly on Google (including My Ad Center) or Meta, or via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. Email Notices
When you register for the Services or purchase a product, your email address is added to our mailing list. You will receive transactional emails (such as welcome information, receipts, and account notices) and may receive marketing emails about new features, titles, and offers. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us. Even if you opt out of marketing, we will still send you transactional and account-related emails, such as receipts, security notices, and updates to our Terms of Service or this policy.
6. Athletes & the Public BJJ Database
The Services include a public reference database about the sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with pages about athletes, instructors, teams, events, competition results, matchups, rankings, and lineage. Most of the people in the database are not users of the Services. This section is addressed to them as well as to our users.
What we publish. Database pages may include an athlete's name, team and lineage affiliations, belt rank and promotions, competition results and records, event participation, photographs, and biographical details relevant to their competitive career.
Where it comes from. This information is compiled from publicly available sources — published competition results, event brackets and registrations, federation records, news and media coverage, and other public materials — and may be organized, cross-referenced, or summarized with the assistance of automated and AI-based tools.
Why we process it. We process this information on the basis of our legitimate interest (and the public's interest) in documenting, reporting on, and preserving the competitive history and statistics of the sport — information that athletes generated by competing in public events.
How long we keep it. Because the database is a historical record of the sport, we retain competition records indefinitely unless they are removed following a request under this section.
Your choices as an athlete. If information about you in the database is inaccurate, you can request a correction by contacting support@digitsu.com or our contact page, and we will review and respond within a reasonable time. You may also object to our processing of your information or request removal; we will weigh such requests case by case, taking into account the public and historical nature of competition records. Photographs and biographical details receive particular consideration in removal requests. Correction, objection, and removal requests are all free of charge.
7. AI Assistant (Sudo)
When you use our AI assistant feature, "Sudo", we process the following data:
- The messages you send to Sudo, including any questions, prompts, or feedback you provide.
- The responses generated by the AI and any associated follow-up suggestions.
- Your user account identifier (or, if you use Sudo while signed out, a session identifier), which ties conversations to your account or session so you can review history and receive personalized responses.
How this data is used:
- To generate replies to your prompts. Your messages are forwarded to third-party AI model providers under data processing agreements that restrict their use of the data to serving our requests. Prompts are not used to train public models. The specific providers we use may change over time as we evaluate and adopt different models.
- To maintain your conversation history so you can revisit past Sudo sessions from within the app.
- To monitor and improve the quality of AI responses, including reviewing thumbs-up/down feedback you submit.
Retention and deletion:
- Conversations are stored on our servers until your account is closed or they are deleted at your request.
- Full account deletion removes all Sudo data along with the rest of your account data, and you can request deletion of individual conversations by contacting us.
- Our AI providers may retain data for a short period for abuse and safety monitoring under their own policies.
Because your messages are processed by third-party AI providers, please avoid including sensitive personal information (such as health details or financial information) in your prompts.
AI-generated content disclaimer: Sudo's responses are produced by a machine learning model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Do not rely on Sudo for medical, safety, or other critical decisions. Please verify important information with a qualified instructor.
8. Service Providers & Other Sharing
We share personal information with service providers who process it on our behalf under contracts that restrict their use of it: payment processors, video hosting and streaming analytics providers, email delivery providers, cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, error monitoring services, and the AI model providers described in Section 7. We share information with the advertising partners described in Section 4. We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Company, our users, or others.
Business transitions. In the event that the Company goes through a business transition, such as a merger or acquisition by or with another company, including a transfer of some or all assets, any personal information we have on record will likely be transferred as part of the transition.
9. Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. When your account is deleted — whether you request deletion through the app or by contacting us — we delete your personal information from our active systems within 45 days of a verified request (or as otherwise required by applicable law), except where we need to retain certain records to comply with legal obligations (such as tax and transaction records), resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements; residual copies in backups are overwritten in the ordinary course of our backup cycle.
You may request deletion of the personal information we hold about you at any time (see Section 12), and we will let you know how deletion affects your use of the Services; there may be exceptions to this right for specific legal reasons, which we will set out in our response. Please be aware that search engines and similar third parties may retain copies of information that was made public (such as public profile information or comments) even after it is deleted from our Services. Information about athletes in the public database is handled as described in Section 6.
10. Security
We protect data in transit with SSL/TLS encryption and employ other technical and organizational security measures. However, no security measures can guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur. Please take steps to maintain the security of your own account, including using a strong, unique password.
11. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, please contact us.
12. Your Rights & Choices
You can review and update your account information at any time by logging in and opening your account settings. In addition, depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion — request that we delete your personal information (see Section 9).
- Opt out of marketing — via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us.
- Opt out of targeted advertising — as described in Section 4.
- Portability — request your information in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our contact page or at support@digitsu.com. Our Services do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals; you can exercise the opt-out choices described above by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you are in a U.S. state whose privacy law provides an appeal process, you may appeal a decision we make on your request by replying to our response. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing are the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests (as described in this policy, including Section 6), your consent where applicable, and compliance with legal obligations; you also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
13. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date and, where the changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users by email.
14. Contact Information
If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, the Services, or your information, please contact us on our contact us page or at support@digitsu.com.
